Reprographics is proud to offer archival Giclee prints
to the fine art community. Artists everywhere are now
using this cutting edge, high quality reproduction
method to publish limited edition prints of their artwork
and paintings. The process also allows artist to order
copies on a print-on-demand basis. Unlike traditional
lithography methods, Giclee reproductions can be printed
on an as needed basis, eliminating both the need for inventory
and any up-front costs to the artist.
The Giclee process begins with converting the original work of art into a digital file format. The digital file is then color corrected and printed on a high resolution printer, which uses UV pigmented inks on heavyweight Somerset Velvet and Legion Concorde rag paper
or stretchable artist's canvas. This ink and paper combination has been subjected to accelerated light exposure testing and has been rated to have a life span of over 100 years before visible fading appears under normal lighting conditions.
